If you go here watch the video very interesting things to learn, a lot of beautiful things inside. About 15 mins walk from Kolymbari harbour.

If you’re nearby it’s worth a visit

This is a functioning mine start, which means you will see munks if you are lucky. The museum was small but nice. The church was not one of the most overwhelming I’ve seen. If you’re nearby it’s worth a visit.

Nice surprise, specially the museum

It wasn’t my first choice to visit but as soon as you enter all these birds and turtles bring a special atmosphere.
We than went to the museum that was really nice with an interesting movie about the island history. Than the church and the view were really nice.

A monastery is a breathtaking locations with such a rich hostory and greately preserved. There is also a small musem with precious exhibits

Beautiful monastery

The old building is beautiful with an interesting architecture. The interior is fantastic. There are still monks at the monastery. It's definitely worth to visit.

Cycled here from Chania with friends and we very pleased with what we found. The monastery is lovely to walk around with a great museum, but it is also in s great location with stunning views.

One of the best monasteries

Thanks to the fact that there was no one there. You could walk around and see the monks performing their duties. There is a small museum inside. Also nice to visit the small chapel outside.

Most interesting working monastery

This is a real monastery with an extensive history. Greeted well by a monk. Shown the video of the history of the sacking by first the Ottomans and the by the Germans. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
