We had pre-booked a car for 8 days with AbbyCars at Heraklion Airport but on arrival were told by them that due to circumstances beyond our control we could not have the car without paying a further 500 euros, more than twice what we had already paid in full. They cancelled our booking but refused any refund. Stuck without any form of transport we went just over the road to Athens Cars who could not have been more helpful. Within 10 minutes, and requiring none of the tedious formalities demanded by AbbyCars, we were on our way. It was of interest that Athens Cars told us they had received numerous complaints about AbbyCars. I cannot speak highly enough of the fantastic service we got from Athens Cars.

Hele goede service en erg behulpzaam. Ik kreeg zelfs een grotere auto dan dat ik gereserveerd had. Ideaal ook, omdat ze geen creditcard vragen en geen borg. Niet iedereen heeft een creditcard.

We didn't get the name of the guy working with them at heraklion aeroport but he recommended for us a great restaurant to dine in. The food were absolutely wonderful

We searched for the cheapest and best rated car rental option in Crete. that's how we found athencars, fair flexible service, we got a clean, nice little car. It wasn't the latest, but it suited what we needed without a problem. We can only recommend it to everyone.
