How to go there

By car
The airport of Heraklion is a start point easy to drive east. The road is straight and the direction easy and safe. You will have to arrive to Agios Nikolaos and then turn right direction to Ierapetra, the road signs show the village of Kritsa to be 9 km away far. You can hire a car and drive there.
By taxi
You can hire a taxi and drive to the village of Kritsa. The important is you understand the importance of the village over the years and visit all exhibition rooms of the traditional local organization.
By bus
There is a bus station in the city of Agios Nikolaos, just close by the hospital. There is a bus driving to Kritsa village very often. Many visitors choose to visit this place using the public bus. The village’s bus station is in the center.

The village of Kritsa has a museum of local plants called “Rodanthi”, it is a must place to spend some hours to learn all about Cretan local flora!
